48  Hours to Live and Healed of Cancer (1976)

​

In the UK we are very privileged to have a National Health Service that provides health care for its people - In spite of this provision, doctors are only himan and don't have the solution for all our health needs. This story illustrates that God is still able to work supernaturally in people's lives.

On 17th August 1976 J was admitted to hospital for some exploratory surgery. Surgeons soon realised that her situation was beyond them. As a result J's husband H was informed that his wife only had 48 hours to live, and that he should go home to prepare his young family for the worst. H responded by informing the doctors that God hears and answers prayer. He subsequentlycame home and contacted a number of folk in the Clapham Elim church asking them to pray for his wife.

Today (2016) J is still alive and rejoicing in the goodness of God. Since that day in 1976, J has been invited as a guest to two medical conferences for consultants only, to share her story. Since that day J and her husband have had the privilege to pray for many people in a similar condition and have seen quite a number healed. 

In June 2016 she was asked to visit the doctor for a check up. When J and her husband walked into the consulting room, the doctor remarked about a 'presence' that this couple seemd to carry with them. J explained that it was none other that the presence of Jesus. The doctor asked her to tell her story. Before they left, J and her husband were asked to pray God's blessing on the doctor, - something J is regularly asked to do. 

Praise God! Jesus is still alive and working in people's hearts and lives!

Healed of Deafness (2003)

​

For some fifty years, S could only hear dull sounds out of her left ear - the result of a childhood injury. One Sunday morning in the service it seemed that the music appeared a lot louder than normal, which she found quite irritating.

A phone call to a friend suddenly highlighted that something had happened as the phone was being held to her left ear, because her hands were covered in flour and her left hand was the cleaner of the two. 

The following morning she realised she had been healed when the central heating boiler woke her when it came on. Her healing was later confirmed by her doctor.

What is amazing is that no one had prayed for S, but the reality of God's presence in the services had brought about this remarkable healing. S has frequently testified to this wonderful experience.

Depression Free At Last (Extracts from a letter - 2004)

​

"Six years is a long time for someone to be lying in bed for most of the day, to not be functioning as their usual self, and to be hiding from the world in general. It is a long time for a husband to be physically present with his wife but to be separated in the emotional and spiritual sense as if she was many miles away, as if she wasn't there at all.

Such had been the case for my wife and I since she had brain surgery over 6 years ago. The week after surgery she had come home from hospital only to having to be re-admitted the same day due to extreme temperature and pain and many other complications. Many specialists, even a tropical diseases specialist, were brought in and she nearly died from what turned out to be a severe case of septicaemia along with other things. Such was the trauma on her body and emotions from this and the original surgery that severe clinical depression overtook her.

Doctors and psychiatrists and anti-depressants did not release her from the grip of this terrible illness. We had many people praying for her all over the world and she had been ministered to by the elders in line with scripture yet the depression hung on.

In November of 2003 I was in the UK ministering in some other churches and also to many groups of International Students. My wife was too ill to travel with me. It was my privilege to also be able to preach at Elim Clapham Church where I met Pastor Joel, his wife Lynne, and members of the congregation. While there I was blessed by their warmth and fellowship but more so for their care and their love when they heard of the predicament of my wife. They have been seeing many healings in their church so Pastor Joel prayed over me and gave me a handkerchief that had been 'prayer soaked' for her to put under her pillow when I returned to Australia.

We did that and started to see a break through in her mind. It didn't fully bring healing at that time but this was the first real break through that we had had in 6 years. From then there have been some other things that have also made a difference but I believe this was the start of a miracle of God.

Now she is free. She is getting up normally and is bubbling around blessing many folk as she used to before, and is now able to accompany me as I travel to minister.

House Supernaturally Provided (2005)

​

In London the price of property is always on the increase, to rent is also expensive. P & T had been living in rented accommodation and could never envisage owning a property they could call their own.

P started to attend the prayer soaking meetings held every Tuesday at the church. He was encouraged to spend the time waiting on God and seeking for a greater move of the Holy Spirit in his life. During this time he brought before the Lord his desire to own his own home.

To cut a long story short, within a matter of a few months he was bidding for a three bed-roomed house with a garden. Even though bids of fifty, sixty and seventy thousand pounds were greater than his offer, the seller decided to sell the property to P & T at their lower bid.

P states that 'Father God just loves to bless His people if only they will give Him the opportunity'. 

We give God thanks for making this possible!

3 Months of Back Trouble Comes to an end (2005)

​

It was quite a number of months ago that this incident relates to. For over three months, I was in great pain with a bad back, and movement was extremely difficult. Simple things like getting out of the car and walking had to be done with care, and even opening the fridge door was painful.

One Sunday I decided to go forward for prayer towards the end of a Sunday morning service. After prayer was made - the pain started to ease. Prayer was continued until the pain had gone completely.

Two years on I have not had any re-occurence of my back trouble, and I am ever thankful to God for what He has done in my life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At Last B Could Do Her Housework (2005)

​

Quite unexpectedly, B started to experience severe pain in her back at work. Her colleagues were very concerned about her, and wanted to call the ambulance to take her to the casualty dept at the local hospital. Instead she persuaded them to let her go to her GP.

For two weeks, B couldn't move. Housework was impossible to do, as well as preparing meals for her family. The pain was so severe that her doctor signed her off work for one month and ordered complete rest.

On Sunday 26th June 2005, B struggled to church. At the end of the service she came forward for prayer. Another woman prayed for her and the pain immediately left. She walked home and on the way did some necessary shopping and carried it home. Something she had been unable to do for two weeks.

On arriving home, she cooked a meal for the family, then caught up on much needed housework. It has been many weeks since B was prayed for, has been pain free, and is now back at work.

Debt Supernaturally Cancelled (2010)

​

Jenny frequently heard that God is a good God and loves, cares and wants to intervene in our lives. However, in reality this was not Jenny's experience and she was heard to say, 'God answers everyone else's prayers but not mine'. You see Jenny had a secret that only a couple of closest family members knew about and were not in a position to help her. Jenny was up to her eyes in debt - the result of a series of bad choices made earlier on in her youth. Things were desperate. Jenny feared that one day she would be found out, or the bailiffs would come to seize her small car which she needed for work.

Time and again she cried out to God, but her situation didn't change. Anxiety, sleepless nights, loss of appetite, horrendous thoughts and depression just seemed to follow Jenny around. Family members were concerned and felt helpless - not knowing what to do! 

Eventually Jenny had a chat with the pastor, who tried to help but Jenny found this difficult to cope with and found it difficult to  face up to the sitiation she was in. Some time elapsed before Jenny made contact with the pastor again asking for help. The pastor put her in touch with a debt manager, who after a lot of work and effort was able to get Jenny put on a scheme, where she was able to make monthly repayments to clear off her debts. At last Jenny started to feel a little better. Things seemed to be improving, but she longed to have this debt completely cleared off. 

After a number of months of making her monthly payments, Jenny rang to make her usual payment. However she was informed that her account could not be found on the system, and could she ring back the following day. The news Jenny received startled her. 'That pastor what's he done?' was the phrase that went through her mind. She contacted the pastor and told him that her account had been cancelled. The pastor assured her that he knew nothing of the change in her situation and had told no one of her situation, not even his wife. Jenny found this hard to accept until she heard the words, 'just maybe God might have had a hand in this!' That was the only explanation that made any sense to Jenny.

The Miracle of the Dead Finger Healed (2014)

​

In 2014 Sybil scratched her little finger on her right hand on a point of a nail that was protruding down the side of her sofa at home. Infection set in and the finger became gangrenous. In spite of medication she had to be admitted to hospital for a course of antibiotics. This did not work. Sybil’s condition grew worse. She had been an active health visitor for years, and was very rarely sick. Now, in hospital she was very weak, had lost a lot of weight and was unable to speak clearly. The little finger on her right hand was extremely painful and black. Time and again, the doctors tried to persuade Sybil to have her finger amputated - fearing that the gangrene would spread, as the finger was now dead. This did not affect Sybil’s trust and faith in God as her healer. In response to the doctor’s persuasion to have the finger removed, Sybil would respond by saying, ‘My God hears and answers prayer’. One professor who had tried unsuccessfully to persuade Sybil to get her finger removed said, ‘Sybil, nails grow, fingers don’t!’ Yet in spite of the pain Sybil remained resolute in her position. Folk from the church who visited, would often stand with Sybil in faith and believe with Sybil that God would work an amazing miracle.

Today, Sybil is back in church with all her limbs. The gangrene has completely disappeared and her little finger is perfect, with no sign that anything had ever been wrong. Not too long ago, her doctor visited her at home, amazed at Sybil’s testimony and is now encouraging her to write a book of her experience and her God who is alive and wants to work make Himself known as a God who loves and cares for people everywhere!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amazing Healing After Being In Constant Pain For Years (2018)

​

It was a Saturday evening and Maureen went up to her room to wait on God to see what He might want to say to her. Something she had been encouraged to do in the church - believing that God wants to have a meaningful relationship with His children. Sitting on her bed, she started to write down what she felt God was saying to her. ‘Tell Mandy that I love and care for her and I want to heal her, and ask her to let you pray for her.’ 

During a time of greeting in the service on the Sunday, Maureen asked Mandy if they could go into another room because she felt she had a word from God that she wanted to share with her. In the minor hall, Maureen shared with Mandy the word she felt she had received from God. At this point Maureen did not have any idea what was wrong with Mandy, and began praying for her after Mandy had said it was OK.

With Mandy sitting down, Maureen started to pray for her by putting her hands on Mandy’s feet, then her ankles, legs, back, shoulders, arms, wrists, neck and head. Taking her time to pray for each area of her body. After half an hour or so. Mandy noticed that she wasn't suffering any pain, instead she felt a heat, wherever Maureen had prayed for her. What was more noticeable was the lack of pain Mandy was experiencing even though she had been sitting down for such a long period.

For over eight years, Mandy had been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and fibro-myalgia, and if she sat for over ten minutes or so, her body would seize up and she would have to face a lot of additional pain to get moving again. Those in the church who sat near Mandy and her husband were used to seeing her get up and walk around periodically during the service - and knew it wasn't because of the pastor's preaching! In fact, Mandy would periodically have injections in the spine to minimise the pain. However, Maureen knew nothing of Mandy;s situation mainly because they sat in different parts of the church and were of different age groups. Towards the end of the prayer time, Mandy informed Maureen that she now had no pain. Mandy began to cry tears of joy and started to roll around the floor. Maureen too was also overcome with what God had done through her obedience. By this time Mandy was excitedly walking, jumping and running around the hall.

Both women were so excited and overjoyed that the commotion was heard in the church. Someone went to see what the noise was all about. After being told what had happened, the two women were brought into the church and were interviewed by the pastor, who was well aware of Mandy’s situation and could not believe his eyes as Mandy ran around the church as evidence to what God had done. Her husband was jumping up and down along with a good number of the congregation who were aware of Mandy's painful situation - something which the pastor explained.

A few weeks later Mandy’s husband was able to tell the church of the complete change in his wife, who was now able to do things she hadn’t done for many years. A woman who had recently started to attend the church said, "I have been a Christian for years and this is the first time I have seen a miracle - Glory to God!"

Weeks later the church is still excited to see the change that has taken place in Mandy’s life. In addition her family are so amazed at the transformation. Mandy and so many others have been able to testify and pray with others about the goodness of God. Mandy has also had the opportunity in meeting up with others who are suffering in a similar way. Watch this space to see what else God will do. In addition, a number of Mandy's family have been heard to say, 'Oh Mandy, slow dow we can't keep up with you!" This was something Mandy used to say to them, but no longer needs to because of the encounter she has had with God!
