IT'S ALL IN THE NAME

Elim Pentecostal Church - What does this mean?

Our 'Elim' logo above depicts what was in the heart of Elim's founders who started the movement based on a verse from the Bible where we read, "Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped near the water" (Exodus 15:27). The logo illustrates a palm tree by a spring of water, thereby presenting their vision that Elim churches should be a place of refreshment, shelter and restoration for all in challenging times. A fact that we are actively pursuing today.

The green part of the logo also represents the significant part that we desire for God the Holy Spirit to play in the life of the church including every 'born again' or committed Christian believer.

The Elim Church is part of the rapidly growing Christian Community worldwide that are known as Pentecostals, who go back to the time when in the Bible, the Holy Spirit was poured out on 120 believers in an upstairs room on the day of Pentecost. It also speaks of the occasion where the Gospel writers tell of the way He descended upon Jesus at His baptism like a dove.

Like Elim's founders, our desire is that you too may come to the fellowship irrespective of the position you may find yourself in, where you can experience the amazing love and goodness of God in your life - bringing you to a place of restoration!

We do look forward to seeing you.
